Supporting animal rescue organizations and helping children and families in need are causes I have always deeply believed in. Although I support many worthy organizations, Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals and 3:11 Ministries are two charities that are especially meaningful to me.

Lone Star Sanctuary for Animals is a no-kill animal rescue located in Midland, Texas. I have personally had the honor of meeting and working with the staff and Executive Director. They are not only devoted to rescuing and caring for the most vulnerable animals in our community; they unequivocally and unconditionally love every animal entrusted to their care. Their relentless advocacy and determination to save as many animals as possible is profoundly inspiring.

3:11 Ministries is another remarkable organization serving Midland, Texas. Its unwavering dedication to the children whose families are experiencing financial hardship in our community is extraordinary. 3:11 Ministries does more than help meet a child’s essential needs. The organization works tirelessly to ensure children can fully experience the joy and dignity of childhood.

The program that touches my heart most deeply is 3:11 Ministries’s Christmas assistance program, which allows our community members to sponsor a child or an entire family in need. Sponsors are asked to provide each child with new clothing, shoes, a coat, and a blanket, along with toys and other special wishes. 3:11 Ministries then delivers the gifts to the family, thus creating a joyful and magical Christmas morning for each child.

No member or visitor of TRUTH. RESILIENCE. GRACE. is ever expected to donate, volunteer, or otherwise participate in the below causes. However, excluding a page devoted to charitable causes that mean so much to me would mean leaving out a deeply meaningful part of my TRUTH...and my heart.
